Hello everyone! The purpose of this post is to show you my current hair care routine which has worked well to keep my bleached locks in tip top condition and split end free! If your hair is dry or damaged then these simple steps which I take may benefit you.
First of all, I shampoo my hair twice with the Herbal Essences Sensuously Smooth shampoo avoiding the mid-length to the ends of my hair. The reason for shampooing my hair twice is to clean my hair then clean my scalp. This is a good tip to use if you suffer from greasy hair like me!
I then condition my hair with the Herbal Essences Sensuously Smooth conditioner rubbing gently in a downwards motion on the mid-length to the ends of my hair avoiding my roots. I then comb through the conditioner with my shower comb to ensure the product has been spread evenly through my hair. I leave this on for about 10 minutes whilst I shave, wash my body etc.
After I have come out of the shower I comb my hair with my shower comb to get rid of any tangles left in my hair. Next I spray my Aussie Miracle Recharge Moisture Leave In Conditioner spray in my hair then comb through with my black de tangling comb.
After I have sprayed in my leave in conditioner I spray a heat protector spray in my hair and comb through with my black de tangling comb.
Usually I wash my hair at night so I leave my hair to dry naturally in a braid or side pony tail.
About 2-3 times a week I treat my hair with my holy grail product- Coconut Oil! This has honestly worked wonders on my hair to keep it in brilliant condition and has helped my bleached damaged hair to grow.
I first section my hair off into two 4 parts and scoop the coconut oil with a spoon into my hands and rub until the product has melted into an oil. I then rub the product gently into each section of my hair, rubbing gently and focusing on the ends of my hair. I do this until my hair is drenched in it. I comb through my hair to ensure the product has been applied evenly, plait my hair into a side braid and leave on over night. (a good tip- make sure to cover your pillow with a towel to prevent your pillow getting greasy from the oil).
In the morning I follow my above routine for washing my hair then leave to air dry while I get dressed, do my make-up and eat breakfast.
If my hair is feeling a little bit on the dry side (especially my ends), I rub in my John Frieda Frizz-Ease Cream from the mid- length to the ends of my hair when it is dry then brush through. This baby has saved my so many bad hair days!!!
I never blow dry my hair unless I really must have to. Cutting out blow drying has made such a big change to the condition of my hair!
I also try and not to straighten my hair too much. I straighten it probably 2 times a week then rest of the time I leave it to sit as it is or put my hair up in a cute hair style.
If you go to work keep your hair tied back, this prevents your hair from getting damaged and tangled! Trust me doing this has made such a huge difference to my hair!
Thank you for reading, if you have any questions regarding my post or products I have used feel free to ask away! I will reply as soon as I can!
Lots of love
